Nice to meet you

Hey there, I’m Frankie, and I’m so glad to meet you. Let’s cut to the chase: planning a wedding means there’s an endless sea of photographers to pick from, so I’m honoured you’ve landed here.

On your wedding day I’m your photographer, your calm guide and, when needed, your interim wedding planner too. I’ll gently put you and your loved ones at ease, because when you feel relaxed and fully present, that’s when the most honest photos happen.

At the core of Salt Shaker Films is the belief that we are called to be the salt of the earth. Salt preserves, and Jesus saves. We believe marriage is created by God, and your vows are made not just in front of loved ones but before Him, so it is an honour every time a couple trusts me with this milestone. My style is natural and unobtrusive, because the best moments are rarely scripted.

I bring the cameras, the creativity and a boatload of excitement, so you get more than photos and video: a story that speaks to your love. After hundreds of weddings, I would love to help yours flow beautifully, too.

    A $1,000 deposit secures your date. We can’t hold a date without one, so this is what makes it yours.

    The balance is due closer to your wedding. Sneak peeks arrive within the week, and your full gallery follows.

Every package includes eight hours of coverage, a consultation, a client questionnaire and our wedding planning guide.

Do you place a hold on our wedding date?

Unfortunately we don’t put a wedding date on hold without a deposit. A $1,000 deposit locks in your big day, with the balance due closer to your wedding day.

We’ve never done photos before and don’t know how to pose. Help!

That’s completely normal. It isn’t about rigid posing. I offer gentle guidance and prompts, and my role is simply to capture the genuine affection you share. By the way, none of the couples on our website are professional models!

Do you offer engagement sessions?

We do, and they’re a game-changer. It’s an exclusive one-hour session at a spot you love, whether that’s the beach, the bush, an open field, the mountains or a heritage building, and you’ll receive at least 100 edited photos. Think of it as a warm-up for the main event, so you feel like rock stars in front of the camera by the time your wedding day arrives.

Are you comfortable photographing church ceremonies?

Absolutely, it’s one of my favourite parts of the day. I’ve captured weddings at churches like St John’s Anglican, All Saints Woollahra and Hillsong Chapel, and I know how to capture your vows, worship and prayers quietly and respectfully, without getting in the way of the moment.

What if it rains during the day?

Rain can add a special touch of beauty and drama to your photos, so we grab umbrellas and embrace it. In heavy rain or storms we prioritise your safety and comfort, and find covered spots to protect your hair and makeup.

When will we receive our wedding photos?

Teaser photos arrive within the week of the wedding. The full gallery can take up to four months during peak season.

How are our photos delivered?

Everything is delivered digitally, with no postage hassle. You can download both web-size and high-resolution versions, with 12 months of free access to your gallery.

Do you offer albums?

We absolutely do. We offer fine art albums from local printers, as well as more economical prints that are perfect for parents’ albums. Albums start from $1,100.

How do you back up our wedding photos?

All of our cameras record to two memory cards at once, and we make multiple copies locally, including one in a waterproof bag on the back of my toilet tank, just in case I get robbed.

Do you have insurance?

Yes. I have insurance for all of my equipment, as well as public liability insurance.

Do you help with our wedding day schedule?

Absolutely. Think of me as your interim wedding planner. After hundreds of weddings, I’ll help your day flow seamlessly between formalities, and we’ll plan your portraits around golden hour, when the light is softest and most flattering.
